Introducing Feather & Birch Schools: real school and preschool photography across regional NSW

For fifteen years, Feather & Birch has been about one thing: real moments, not posed ones. Six hundred weddings, a lot of kilometres across NSW, and a belief that the best photos are the ones that actually look like the people in them.

Now we’re bringing that same approach to school and preschool photo days.

Most school photos look the same because they’re taken the same way. One stiff frame, a paper form lost in the bottom of a school bag, and a four to eight month wait for a gallery that finally turns up looking nothing like your kid. We thought it could be done properly.

Feather & Birch Schools captures three to five real frames of every child, delivers private online galleries in about three weeks, and it’s free to the school. No paper forms, no cash on the day. Parents simply order the packs they want, from their phone, if they want them at all. And the person planning your photo day is the same person behind the camera and the same person who answers the phone.

We’re based in Mudgee and travel to schools and preschools right across the Central West, North-West and Hunter regions, from Orange, Bathurst and Dubbo through to Tamworth, Gunnedah and across to Newcastle and the Hunter Valley.
